Aruna Irani is ruling television space in the elderly roles like Daadi and Naani. The veteran actress was last seen in Main Laxmi Tere Aagan Ki, currently seen in Parichay and will soon by seen in Colors channel's Sanskaar- Sharohar Apnon Ki. The actress feels television gives more opportunity to explore but people in the television and film industry don't care about eachother. She calls it a 'Baimai Zaat'. Also, praises Madhuri and her dance reality show.
Commenting on the playing elderly roles on television, Aruna says, " I enjoy television more. There are better roles in television than film." When asked she misses her film days or if is in touch with her ex co-stars, she promptly says, "Television ek Baimaan Zaat hai. People whom you work with will call you for two days after the show goes off air after that no one is concerned. It was always like that be it film or television, we have always got nalay dost."
When asked what she likes to watch on television, she says, "I like seeing emotional shows and a bit of share market (laughs). But nowadays I don't get the time as I'm busy with my shoots. But in the past I like Madhuri Dixit's show (Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa). It was a superb show, the dancing were mind blowing. I like Isha and Gurmeet very much they were so good. And I loved the spirit of Bharti. Even after being so fat she danced confidently. Looking at her I use to feel like dancing.
Talking about her bad phase in life, Aruna concludes by saying, "I never look behind. My family gave me the strength to fight back and survive in my bad times."
