Bollywood's two leading ladies Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi topped Vogue India's best dressed list this week...
At the Hall of Fame awards in Mumbai, Bollywood showed that they can do western glamour with as much finesse as ethnic wear. Sridevi glided down the red carpet in a white Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 gown. For Anushka Sharma it was unapologetic glamour in a nude Cavalli gown bedecked with gold sequins. For Madhuri Dixit-Nene, it was her second appearance in as many weeks sans overbearing Indian outfits. Long may this sartorial run continue. Her black Dior gown was simply and flawlessly accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch and diamond earrings.
Two actors stood out at the Life of Pi Dubai Film Festival Premiere and Opening Gala. Freida Pinto’s bronze skin beautifully complimented her Ralph Lauren gold lamé gown with jewelled serpent-headed collar. She can evoke extreme reactions with her red carpet choices but on this occasion Cate Blanchett did everything right in a grey-blue Rodarte Spring 2013 gown featuring dark orange panels.
While many of us still remember her as the darling princess of the fictional Genovia, Anne Hathaway has been breaking that mould with her red carpet dresses on the Les Miserable premiere trail.
