Madhuri Dixit and Shahrukh Khan starred in several successful movies together. Their first film together was Anjaam (1994). Though this film was a box office failure, the lead actors got favorable reviews for their performances in the movie. They did another movie after three years, Koyla (1997) which received critical acclaim. Their third movie, which was released in the same year, Dil to Pagal Hai (1997) went on to become one of the biggest hits of Bollywood and was the second highest grosser of the year. They also acted together in Gaja Gamini (2000) and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), which did moderately well at the box office. Their movie together, Devdas (2002), was a super hit at the box office and won a lot of international acclaim. At the time of its release, it was the most expensive Bollywood film produced.
Professional Relationship
Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit shared a sizzling onscreen chemistry, and they also shared a great friendship off screen. Together, they gave a wonderful performance in the 56th Idea Film fare Awards, dancing to their old songs together. This was the first time they were seen in a performance together after their last movie Devdas which was released nine years ago. Some rumors say that Shahrukh and Madhuri might be seen together in a movie made by Inder Kumar in the future.
In their first movie together, Anjaam (1994), Madhuri got the Film fare Best Actress nomination and Shahrukh won the Film fare Award for Best Villain.
