Here I am, minutes before going on stage to speak on ‘Hero se kam nahin heroine’. I whole-heartedly believe that women in India, and in general, have become a strong force to reckon with, and so felt quite at home discussing the topic.
No matter how much we debate about the role of hero versus heroine, there’s no doubt that our society has changed in the last 10 years and women are doing good work in responsible positions in society – be it in industry, administration, education, social causes, the arts or cinema. Bollywood is a reflection of this.
Ram was there with me to boost that confidence.
